INGREDIENTS:
- 2 Onions (large or medium)
- 100g Mozzarella cheese
- 50g Flour
- 100g Bread crumbs
- 2 Eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 Tsp Black pepper powder
- Cooking oil
DIRECTIONS:
- First, we need 70-100g of mozzarella, depending on the amount of cheese you would love to eat.
- Put it aside after slicin’ it up.
- Cut the onions into rings of approximately 1.5 – 2cm thickness.
- Separate each onion rings out.
- Choose the rings with the width difference of 0.3-0.5 cm.
- Next, just put the cheese inside the gaps.
- put in 50g of flour in one bowl.
- Put in 100g of bread crumbs in second bowl.
- Crack in 2 eggs into the third bowl.
- Add salt and black pepper powder .Whisk the eggs away.
- Roll onion rings in the flour and then the eggs.
- And then roll into bread crumbs.
- Coat them with another layer of eggs and then another layer of bread crumbs .So that the cheese won’t leak while frying.
- Fill the pan with oil and let it boil.
- Depending on the size of your pan, drop one or several onion rings. After a minute or two flip and fry till it is crisp and golden brown all around.
- Take it out when it’s golden brown or a slightly lighter color
- Transfer fried onion rings to a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve and enjoy.
